A Favorite of Kansas in Italian Cuisine
Toby and Ashley Shaughnessy opened Sam & Louie's in 2013. Living in Iola their whole life, they wanted to offer something a little different to the town by offering a nice sit-down Italian Restaurant with a diverse menu. Loving not only Italian food but having a passion for NY pizza, Toby and his family teamed up to build the first Sam & Louie's in Kansas. The dream of owning his own restaurant extended into building it with his dad and brothers; this became the true Family Restaurant in Iola. On any given day, you will see not only Toby, but his wife Ashley helping customers and employees give the best of themselves. Sam & Louie's is known for their great Stromboli and Calzones and pastas with many Gluten Free options as well. Kid's Night is always a fun time at the restaurant, and now the party room is the happening place for interactive Birthday Parties!
In 2015, the Shaughnessy's expanded his business to include Sam & Louie's on the Road! A new Food Truck concept where they can take the delicious food to any event in any surrounding town or on-location event! This is growing in popularity and keeping them very busy!

★★★★★I went here for the first time today. As a first timer, the waitress brought me an order of the cheesy bread, and it was incredibly good. The marinara it was served with was also delicious. I tried the lasagna and a slice of pizza with beef and mushrooms. The lasagna was some of the best restaurant-style lasagna I’ve ever had, and the pizza was top notch as well. The waitress was very polite and did her job extremely well. I will definitely be returning!

We got the combo pizza which had a good amount of meat and their signature seasoning adds some extra flavor which we felt like it needed. The menu was large. The manager appears very hands on and attentive. Overall, it was a good experience and excellent alternative to Pizza Hut.

We are open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 AM to 8:30 PM, and Friday through Saturday from 11 AM to 9 PM.
